Marketplaces

Marketplaces are a great way to increase your sales, especially in Europe. Dutch retailers can, for example, sell their products easily on Rue du Commerce in France and Amazon in the UK without using a web shop of their own. The whole buying process, including payment, is handled by the marketplace and the customer doesn't visit your website at all. 

Selling on marketplaces is also interesting because the products are not linked directly to the retailer's brand. This enables you to sell products under different names and with different prices. Unlike comparison shopping engines, marketplaces can be used for dynamic pricing.  

Following the example of Pixmania in France five years ago, many large webshops such as Amazon and Bol.com (NL), have started offering third-party products.

Shop2market has created an interface to upload product feeds to the marketplaces and to process orders on marketplaces like Amazon, Pixmania and Rue du Commerce.
